Lasst die 3. Staffel beginnen! // Let's start the 3. season!

Erstmal darf ich zwei neue Gegenstände in meiner Wohnung begrüßen:

Erstens eine Couch. Also wer mich jetzt besuchen kommen will, muss nicht mehr auf dem Boden schlafen. Yeah! :D

Und zweitens Rollos. Am Anfang fande ich es ohne gar nicht so schlimm. Allerdings wohnen einen paar von den Kiddis aus’n Jugendzentrum gegenüber von mir und die haben mir berichtet, wie sie mich beobachtet haben, wenn ich z.B. in der Küche gekocht und gegessen hab. Das finde ich schon ziemlich gruselig. Deswegen bin ich doch ganz froh, dass ich die Rollos jetzt habe. :D

Am Montag hab ich es endlich mal geschafft, zu einem Training in unserer Kommunalverwaltung zu gehen. Ich wusste nicht wirklich was auf mich zukommen würde. Ich wusste nur, dass ich eine Matte und 1kg Hanteln mitbringen sollte. Gesagt, getan. Überrascht war ich über die Teilnehmeranzahl. Als Neuling muss man sich erstmal in eine Liste eintragen und ich war Nummer 50. Sõmeru ist zwar ein kleiner Ort, bekommt aber doch viele Leute für solch ein Training zusammen. Es war an sich ganz in Ordnung und ein paar Übungen waren echt anstrengend! Aber ich weiß noch nicht, ob ich dort jede Woche hingehe. Mal sehen :)

Letzte Woche Sonntag habe ich mit meinem Jugendzentrum Wasserfälle im Landkreis Ida-Virumaa besucht und waren am Meer. Das war wirklich schön! Ein paar Wochen zuvor war unser Leiter im Jugendzentrum, um ein paar Bilder der Natur zu zeigen. Für die Kiddis war das eher uninteressant. Viel spannender war es für sie, die Wasserfälle und die Natur richtig zu sehen.

Vergangenen Donnerstag war ich mal nicht nur im Jugendzentrum. Vormittag habe ich den Projekttag im Gymnasium in Kunda besucht bzw. teilgenommen. Die Kinder und Jugendlichen waren in Gruppen geteilt und sollten zu verschiedenen Projekten im Schulgebäude gehen. Und ich war eines davon. 10 Gruppen von Klassenstufe 4 bis 8 habe ich innerhalb von je 25 Minuten allgemeines über den Europäischen Freiwilligendienst und meine eigenen Erfahrungen erzählt. Außerdem haben die Schüler ein paar Aufgaben von mir bekommen. Die Älteren sollten eine Art Steckbrief und die Jüngeren eine Art Kreuzworträtsel zum Thema EFD ausfüllen. Die Kinder und Jugendlichen haben den Projekttag anscheinend sehr ernst genommen. Sie hatten die Möglichkeit, meine gestellten Aufgaben in Estnisch zu beantworten. Aber der Großteil hat seine Antworten in Englisch aufgeschrieben. Auch waren ein paar Einzelne so mutig, mit mir in Englisch zu sprechen. Das hat mich überrascht und natürlich auch sehr gefreut. :)

Am Freitag war „Mardipäev“ (dt. Martinstag). Die Kinder gehen an diesem Tag verkleidet von Tür zu Tür und tragen in den Wohnungen etwas vor, wie z.B. Lieder, Sprüche oder Tänze. Dafür bekommen sie dann Süßigkeiten, quasi das estnische Halloween. Halloween spielt hier nämlich keine große Rolle. Es werden zwar Partys an diesem Tag gefeiert, aber die Kinder sammeln an diesem Tag keine Süßigkeiten. Denn dazu haben sie den Mardipäev. :)

Außerdem war Woche der Jugendarbeiter. Dafür gab es auf Facebook jeden Tag Aufgaben. Ziel war es natürlich diese zu lösen und die Ergebnisse auf Facebook mit den anderen Jugendarbeitern zu teilen. Die letzte Aufgabe am Freitag war, sich von den Kindern schminken zu lassen. Was dabei rausgekommen ist, seht ihr auf einem der Bilder :D

Außerdem war gestern Vatertag. Head isadepäev nachträglich! :D

At first I can welcome two new objects at my appartment:

First a couch. Well, who wants to visit me doesn’t have to sleep on the ground.Yeah !

And second blinds. At the beginning I had no problem to live without them. But there are some kids from the youthcenter living towards me and they told me how they watched what I do at my appartment, like cooking and eating in the kitchen. This is a strange feeling. So now I’m happy to have this blinds. :D

So, Welcome couch and blinds :D

Finally on Monday I could manage it to take part in a training at our municipality. I didn’t really know what to expect. The only thing I knew, that I would need a mat and 1kg dumbbells. So I did it. I was surprised how many people take part in this training. When you’re new there you have to write your name in a list and I was number 50. Sõmeru is only a small town but still there are quite many people coming to this training. It was okay and some exercices where not that easy ! But I don’t know yet if I want to go there every week. I’ll go there next week again and then I’ll see :)

Last week on Sunday I visited with my youthcenter some waterfalls in a county, called Ida-Virumaa ,and we went to the sea. It was really nice! A few weeks ago our guide were at our youthcenter to show some pictures of the nature. This wasn’t interesting for the kids. But to see the waterfalls and the nature in real life was much more exciting for them.

Last Thursday I wasn’t only at the youthcenter. In the morning I visited and took part in the project day of the highschool in Kunda. The kids and youngsters were divided in groups and should go to different projects in the school. And I was one of them. I talked to 10 groups, to each group 25 minutes, from grade 4 to 8. I told them some facts about the European Vounteering Service and my own experiences. Besides the students got some tasks from me. The older ones had to fill in some kind of profile and the younger ones had to fill in some kind of crossword about the EVS. It seemed to me that the kids and youngsters took this day quite seriously. They could solve my tasks in estonian but the majority wrote down the answers in english. A few were even brave enough to speak english with me. I was surprised and very happy about it. :)

On Friday was the „Mardipäev“ (engl. Martins day). The kids wear costumes and go to the houses to ask for sweets. Therefore they have to perform something for example songs, sayings or dances. Like the estonian version of Halloween. In Estonia Halloween is not a big thing. Of course you can go to partys on this day but the kids don’t collect sweets on this day. Because for that they have the mardipäev. :)

Furthermore it was youthworkers week. For this there were challenges on Facebook. Of course we had to solve them and then we had to share the solutions with the other youthworkers on Facebook. Last task on friday was to make up by children. What they did you can see on one of the pictures :D

Furthermore yesterday was fathersday. So belated Head isadepäev! :D
